What is "Improvement" in IIT JEE 2014 ? I have seen many students are confused regarding the concept of 'Improvement' in IIT JEE Advanced 2014. Here is the exact information. In case a candidate applies for improvement and is unable to appear for the exam due to unavoidable reasons or so, the marks of the last qualifying exam marks will be taken. The purpose of improvement is to ensure a better score for normalization. Candidates who are appearing in the improvement examination to improve their qualifying examination marks will get ONLY ONE CHANCE to inform JEE Main Office as to which year qualifying examination marks to be considered for the purpose of declaration of final merit. For this candidates have to keep checking the website for the notification about this. It will be announced in May 2014 after the declaration of the JEE Main 2014 scores. Candidates who wish to appear for improvement should appear for all five subjects and NOT in one or two. This is compulsory. For candidates who have passed in one board and have given the improvement in another board or State, the marks of the first exam will be considered for JEE Main 2014.
